'WE WERE QUITE HAPPY TO SACRIFICE OURSELVES FOR THE BETTER OF THE GAME': SYDNEY UNITED PRESIDENT SAM KRSLOVIC
LISTEN TO SAM KRSLOVIC GIVE HIS THOUGHTS ON THE A-LEAGUE'S STAGNATION
Sydney United 58 president Sam Krslovic says he expected a lot more from the A-League and believes the FFA have missed an opportunity.
Mr Krslovic joined Carlos Alberto Diego on FNR_Football Nation Radio’s Calcio Café this morning where he emphasised his support for the A-League during the league’s inception.
Mr Krslovic believes football needed to change in Australia but is disappointed by A-League’s stagnation.
“[Sydney United] were quite happy to sacrifice [themselves] for the better of the game but sadly the way we thought it would end up is not the way it has ended up,” Mr Krslovic.
Moreover, Mr Krslovic was vocal in his castigation towards the lack of progress of professional football, saying he has learned to live the frustration.
“We pay our CEO $1.4 million and we can’t even get ourselves a roadmap or strategy to where we are
going in the next five years. It’s a disgrace,” Mr Krslovic said.
Sydney United compete in the NSW National Premier League.
Calcio Café airs daily from 7am (AEDT) hosted by Carlos Alberto Diego on FNR_Football Nation Radio.
