Chief Executive of the PFA, John Didulica believes that Australia has “gained more from dual nationality than lost” in the face of the ongoing saga over Daniel Arzani’s international career.
Didulica, who spoke on FNR_Football Nation Radio’s Football Extra with Carlos Alberto Diego said that it is “his individual right as a person” to decide whether he plays for Australia or Iran on an international level.
“To take that right away from somebody is entirely wrong, whether it is Daniel or another player that is their right,” Didulica said.
Didulica described Australia as having a “mixed bag” of results of players who decided to opt for playing for nations that their parents were born in including Josip Simunic and his own brother, Joey who represented Croatia during the 2000’s.
