Central Coast Mariners defender, Antony Golec described his peculiar experiences abroad which welcomed some unpleasant surprises.
Golec spoke to the Four Diegos on FNR_Football Nation Radio about his experiences at Sheriff Tiraspol and in Iran with Perselopis which included a calamitous transfer saga.
“I got forced to go there,” Golec said.
“I was in Korea and funnily enough as I landed this agent wanted to take me to Iran and that the club cancelled the one from Korea and accepted the one in Iran,” Golec said.
“I had no choice, I didn’t want to ruin anything, basically the owner was Russian Mafia.” Golec said.
Golec moved back to the A-League with the Central Coast in the off-season and has featured seventeen times thus far this season.
