Melbourne Victory football operations manager Paul Trimboli believes the Victory are determined to go “one step further” in the upcoming Asian Champions League.
This will be the sixth Asian Champions League campaign Melbourne Victory will take part in, having only progressed out of the group stage once.
“We have only progressed out of the group once and our next ambition is to go one step further,” Trimboli said.
Trimboli told David Davutovic on FNR_Football Nation Radio’s Football Q&A last night the club will continue to enforce a winning culture throughout the Champions League competition.
“Every season our ambition is to win every competition we enter ourselves into,” Trimboli said.
In addition, Trimboli is also excited by the number of youth players elevated into the squad as a result of AFC regulations stating squads must have 30 players.
Melbourne Victory’s Asian Champions League campaign commences Tuesday 13 February, 2018 against Ulsan Hyundai.
Football Q&A airs every Wednesday from 5pm (AEDT) hosted by David Davutovic on FNR_Football Nation Radio.
