listen to sydney fc w-league coach ante juric ahead of the grand final
Sydney FC W-League coach Ante Juric says it’s critical his players “do it for each other” when they face Melbourne City in the W-league Grand Final on Sunday.
Sydney finished second behind Brisbane Roar in the regular season and despite Melbourne City finishing fourth Juric believes “[City] are definitely the best team in the league.”
Juric highlighted the significance of 'one-percenter's' in a Grand Final and how they can separate two very evenly matched teams.
“If the match goes for 90 minutes, we have to go for 91 minutes. In Grand Finals when teams are so close then the [one-percenter's] are the important things,” Juric said.
Sydney FC will be without midfielder Caitlin Foor and When asked about her injury, Juric told Louise Taffa on FNR_Football Nation Radio’s Football W there will not be any changes to the team dynamic.
“I didn’t sign 11 players to win the league, I signed 23,” Juric said.
The W-League Grand Final will take place at the Allianz Arena on Sunday 18 February, 2018 at 5pm.
Football W airs every Wednesday from 10am (AEDT) hosted by Louise Taffa on FNR_Football Nation Radio.
